Bios on Captains

Brandon Bryant:  Brandon is the strongest guy in school history, and probably in the state.  This past summer he benched 425 lbs, had a 610 lbs squat, and an impressive 320 power clean, and he's just a Junior.  Brandon has been starting at Tackle for three years and he earned 2nd Team All-Dogwood District last year.  He's currently receiving letters from top colleges weekly.

T.J. Kelso:  T.J. is back for his second year as the starting runningback for the Raiders.  Last year, he was voted the Team Offensive MVP and was 1st Team All-Dogwood District.  This was the first year Kelso surpassed 1,000 yards rushing, and 10 touchdowns in a single season.  He is also receiving letters from top colleges weekly for basketball, track and football.

Marshall Woods:  Marshall is in his third and final year starting at Middle Linebacker for Appomattox.  Last year he earned Team Defense MVP, All-District honors, All-Region III honors, and 3rd team All-State.  He's also a preseason All-State selection for 2002.  In his three year career, he's had nearly 500 tackles for the Raiders.  He is also currently receiving letters daily from top colleges for baseball and football.

Ed Robinson:  This is also Ed's final year starting on varsity for the Raiders.  He's played a lot of different positions and played in a lot of key roles over the past three years.  He came in his Sophomore year and earned the starting quarterback job late in the season. During his Junior year he came as a runningback/defensive end, and then was converted to the starting quarterback again.  This year he plays outside linebacker and runningback & it's his first year as a captain.  He is also a standout in track and basketball.  Although Ed will most likely go to colleges for basketball, he currently receives letters weekly from top colleges on the east coast for football, track.
