This year's schedule was tough.  We played two State Champions, Liberty High School ("AA" Div. 3) and William Campbell High School ("A" Region C), defeating Liberty.  Also we played Buckingham High School, who lost in the State Championship game.  Here are the results from this year's games.

District Standings:
1) William Campbell High School-  Dogwood District, Region C, Single A State Champs. . . . .  4 1st Team All-State players ("A" Offensive State Player of the Year QB Shea Boyd, "A" Defensive State Player of the Year DE Junior Owen)
2) Gretna High School- Lost to William Campbell in overtime (33-30) and lost in the Region III Championship to Liberty High School.  One AP 1st Team AP All-State player (Sophomore QB Vic Hall) and one 2nd Team All-State Safety Michael Oakes.
3)  Nelson County High School. Had the Offensive Back of the Year in the District (Hayes Page) who rushed for 2,300 yards and he was also 1st Team All-State.
4) Appomattox County High School.  Had 9 players named to either 1st or 2nd Team All-District selections, One District Player of the Year, two 1st Team All-Region players, one hm. All-State and one 1st Team All-State.
5) Prince Edward County High School.  One of the most athletic teams in the district.  Had size and strength put couldn't finish their drives.  Had three All-District players, two are Linebacker Rashaud Johnson and Runningback Charles Scott who rushed for over 1,100 yards.
6) Chatham High School.  Had a few players voted to the 2nd Team All-Dogwood District Team.
7) Altavista High School.  Also had a few people on the 2nd Team and Hm. All-District Team including a 6'7 Tight End Leroy Austin.
