This year we played against 15 players that were either 1st Team, 2nd Team, or HM. All-State.  Not to mention number of All-Region selections and two coaches were State Coaches of the Year.( AA Div. 3 Chris Watts, Liberty High School; and Brad Bradley the A Div. 1 Coach of the Year).

All State: Marshall was awarded 1st Team All-State awards for the first time while Curtis was selected as an Honorable Mention.  This was Curtis' second year of playing football, not bad for a guy with alomst no experience.  That just goes to show you how ahtletic he really is.  He's also a key player on the varsity basketball team.   Last year, Marshall was selected as Honorable Mention.

All Region:
Seniors Curtis Middleton(WR) and Marshall Woods (LB) were selected to the 2002 All-Region III 1st Team.  Middleton was third in the Lynchburg area this year with 584 yards and 32 receptions. He also led the district in touchdowns  and was second in receptions.
This is Woods second year in a row with a 1st Team All-Region III selection as a linebacker.  Another Raider Kyle Lucado got the 2nd Team spot while racking up 127 tackles from the NoseGuard position.  Lucado and Woods are tied for third in the district with 5 sacks  a piece.  T.J. Kelso was also selected as Honorable Mention.

All-Lynchburg News & Advanced (All-Area): Curtis Middleton and Marshall Woods were selected for this honor.  T.J. Kelso took 2nd Team awards.  This is the first time being chosen as an All-Area player for Curtis while it's the second time for Marshall.
